Doctors sued in relation to patient's death

Negligence by medical professionals when it comes to the examining, testing and diagnosing of patients can be a very serious matter. Sadly, such medical negligence can sometimes even have fatal results. No patient should have to lose his or her life because a medical professional failed to act properly when providing him or her with care. Thus, it is very important for medical professionals to not act negligently when examining, testing and diagnosing patients.

Recently, a case involving the above-mentioned type of medical negligence has arisen. The case is from Illinois. The case involves a woman who reportedly received medical care in August 2010.

Reportedly, this medical care was provided by a group of doctors. The woman's son alleges that the doctors acted negligently during the course of the woman's care. Included among the negligence the woman's son alleges the doctors committed are: a misreading of a medical scan, a failure to order tests that they should have and a failure to diagnose a heart condition the woman suffered from.

The woman's son claims that the alleged negligence of the doctors resulted in the woman suffering a heart attack and dying.

A wrongful death lawsuit has been brought by the woman's son in a court in Illinois in connection to the above allegations. The above-mentioned doctors have been named as defendants in this lawsuit. It has been reported that, in this lawsuit, the woman's son is asking for damages. One wonders what will ultimately happen in this wrongful death case.
