Man claims physician assistant punctured his ear drum

It is very important for medical professionals to act properly while providing care to patients. When medical professionals commit negligence in connection to patient care, it can result in patients getting hurt.

Recently, a case involving allegations of medical negligence has arisen in Illinois. The case involves a man who reportedly received care at a medical practice in Illinois in August 2010.

According to the man, during the course of this care, a physician assistant irrigated the man's right ear. The man alleges that the physician assistant acted negligently during this irrigation and that this alleged negligence resulted in the ear drum of his right ear getting punctured. The man claims that he had to undergo multiple surgeries as a result of this ear damage.

A medical malpractice lawsuit has been brought by the man in a court in Illinois in connection to these allegations. Reportedly, in this lawsuit, the above-mentioned physician assistant, the above-mentioned medical practice and a doctor have been named as defendants. The man reportedly is asking for damages in this lawsuit. One wonders what will happen in this medical malpractice case and how it will ultimately be resolved.

As the allegations in this medical malpractice case illustrate, a patient can suffer great harm when medical professionals act negligently while providing care. Thus, one hopes that all medical professionals make sure to avoid committing care-related negligence. No patient should have to suffer harm because a medical professional failed to act properly while providing him or her with care.
