Doctor accused of failing to properly diagnose patient

It is extremely important for doctors to not act negligently when they are examining and diagnosing patients. If doctors fail to diagnose a medical condition a patient suffers from in a correct and timely fashion due to negligence, it can delay treatment of said condition and cause great harm to a patient.

Recently, a medical negligence case has arisen involving diagnosis. The case involves a man from Poca, West Virginia. Allegedly, the man received care from a doctor from Marmet, West Virginia over a time period running from January of 2007 to June of 2010.

The man alleges that, over the course of this care, the doctor failed to adequately examine him and failed to properly diagnose and treat lung cancer that he suffered from. According to the man, this cancer was not diagnosed until June of 2009.

The man claims that this negligence by the doctor resulted in him suffering a variety of harms including disability and disfigurement.

The man has brought a medical negligence lawsuit in West Virginia against the doctor in connection to these allegations.

The allegations in the case underscore the point that patients can suffer great harm when doctors fail to properly diagnose them due to negligence. Thus, one hopes that doctors make sure to not expose their patients to negligence like that alleged in this case. One also hopes that doctors are held accountable when they do negligently fail to properly diagnose a medical condition a patient suffers from and such negligence causes a patient harm.
