Man claims doctor acted negligently in regards to cancerous mass

It is very important for medical professionals to exercise appropriate care when providing a patient with care in connection to cancer. If a doctor acts negligently when giving such care, the consequences for patients can be severe. No cancer patient should have to be subjected to this type of negligence. Fighting cancer is a scary enough process without also having to deal with the effects of doctor negligence.

Recently, a case has arisen in Illinois involving medical negligence and cancer. The case involves a man who had a cancerous mass in his neck. In 2009, the man underwent surgeries to have the mass removed. Reportedly, it took three surgeries to remove all of the cancerous tissue.

The man claims that it took three surgeries because an Illinois doctor committed negligence in connection to the first two procedures. According to the man, the doctor failed to run proper diagnostic tests leading up to the first two surgeries.

The man claims that having to undergo this many surgeries resulted in him suffering partial paralysis and negatively impacted his radiation therapy.

The man has now brought a medical malpractice lawsuit in Illinois against the doctor in connection to these allegations.

The allegations in this medical malpractice case demonstrate how harmful it can be when a medical professional fails to provide a patient with proper care in connection to a procedure aimed at treating cancer. One hopes that medical professionals are held accountable when they engage in medical negligence that results in a cancer patient suffering harm.
