Man dies during medical procedure, hospital and doctors accused of negligence

Medical procedures can be very helpful to patients. However, procedures can quickly become bringers of harm when medical professionals and medical facilities act negligently in connection to them. Medical procedure-related negligence by medical professionals and medical facilities can sometimes even result in a patient dying.

No patient should have to suffer harm or lose his or her life because a medical professional or medical facility committed negligence. Thus, one hopes that all medical professionals and medical facilities make sure to act properly when performing procedures on patients.

Recently, a wrongful death case has arisen that involves allegations of the above-mentioned type of negligence. The case involves a man who had a medical procedure performed on him in March 2011. The man received the procedure at a hospital in Texas.

The procedure was an arteriogram. Arteriograms involve the injecting of contrast dyes into a patient and the performance of an X-ray on a patient.

The man's family alleges that the hospital and five doctors that were involved with the procedure acted negligently during the procedure and that this alleged negligence resulted in the man dying during the procedure.

In relation to these allegations, a lawsuit has been brought against the above-mentioned hospital and the above-mentioned doctors in a court in Texas by the man's family. The man's family is asking for damages in this lawsuit.

As the allegations in this case underscore, medical procedure-related negligence by medical professionals and/or medical facilities can be extremely harmful to patients. One hopes that medical professionals and medical facilities are held accountable for the harm that they cause when they commit medical procedure-related negligence.
