Lawsuit brought in connection to patient's death

Recently, a wrongful death case has arisen involving allegations of medical negligence. The case is from Kentucky. The case involves a now-deceased woman who received care from a doctor from Danville, Kentucky and a hospital in Danville.

The administrator of the woman's estate claims that the hospital and the doctor committed negligence during the course of providing care to the woman, including a negligent failure to properly diagnose the woman. According to the administrator, the woman died as a result of this alleged negligence. The woman died in February 2012.

The administrator has brought a lawsuit in a court in Kentucky in connection to these allegations. The lawsuit names the above-mentioned doctor and the above-mentioned hospital as defendants. Reportedly, damages are being sought in this lawsuit. One wonders what will ultimately happen in this case.

It is very important for medical professionals and hospitals to not act negligently when it comes to the diagnosing of patients. Diagnosis-related negligence can be extremely harmful to patients and their families. As the allegations in this case underscore, such negligence can sometimes even result in a patient's death.

Loss of a loved one due to medical negligence, in addition to causing considerable emotional harm, can lead to a family facing significant financial impacts. One hopes that medical professionals and medical facilities are held accountable for the harms they cause when they commit fatal medical negligence. One thing that can help hold medical professionals and medical facilities accountable for such harms are medical malpractice/wrongful death lawsuits.
