Doctor accused of medical negligence

It is very important for medical professionals to not act negligently when it comes to the care of patients. No patient should have to be subjected to medical negligence. Such negligence can be very harmful to patients.

A case has recently arisen involving allegations of medical negligence. The case is from West Virginia. The case involves a woman who received care from a doctor in connection to a medical condition she had. The medical condition in question was varicose veins.

In October 2010, a procedure was performed on the woman that was aimed at addressing this condition. The procedure in question was an endovenous radiofrequency ablation.

According to the woman, the above-mentioned doctor acted negligently in connection to her care after this procedure was performed. Specifically, the woman claims that the doctor failed to provide her with proper follow-up care after the procedure and failed to treat symptoms she exhibited after the procedure.

The woman alleges that this alleged negligence resulted in her suffering a variety of harms, including:

  • Pain
  • Mental anguish
  • Injuries
  • Disfigurement

A lawsuit has been brought by the woman in a court in West Virginia against the doctor in connection to the above allegations. It will be interesting to see what happens in this medical malpractice case and how it is ultimately resolved.

As the allegations in this case underscore, patients can suffer great harm when medical professionals act negligently in regards to their care. One hopes that medical professionals are held accountable when they commit harmful negligence against patients.
