Woman accuses hospital of medical negligence

Medical negligence can cause patients to suffer significant harms. Such harms can have a variety of major impacts on a patient's life. Thus, medical negligence can be a very serious matter.

A case has recently arisen involving allegations of medical negligence. The case is from West Virginia. The case involves a woman who underwent a procedure in 2010. The procedure in question was an endoscopic plantar fasciotomy. The woman underwent the procedure at a hospital in West Virginia.

The woman alleges that the hospital provided her with negligent care during this procedure. The woman further claims that this alleged negligent care resulted in her suffering a variety of harms, including the development of a medical condition.

According to the article on the West Virginia Record's website which reported this story, the woman has brought a medical malpractice lawsuit in a court in West Virginia against the hospital in connection to the above allegations. It has been reported that damages are being sought in this lawsuit. It will be interesting to see what happens in this medical malpractice case and how it is ultimately resolved.

As the allegations in this malpractice case illustrate, medical negligence can be very impactful on patients. No patient should have to face medical negligence. Thus, one hopes that all medical professionals and medical facilities make sure to not act negligently when it comes to the care of patients. One also hopes medical professionals and medical facilities are held accountable when they commit medical negligence and such negligence results in a patient suffering harm.
