Wrongful death lawsuit brought against radiologist in Connecticut

It is very important for medical professionals to act properly when providing a patient with care in connection to a radiological procedure. Tragically, negligence related to such procedures can sometimes result in a patient's death.

Recently, a wrongful death case has arisen in Connecticut involving allegations of radiological procedure-related negligence. The case involves a now-deceased man who underwent a radiological procedure at a hospital in New Milford, Connecticut.

The man's wife alleges that the radiologist who performed this procedure acted negligently during and after the procedure and that this alleged negligence caused the man to suffer a variety of problems and led to the man's death. The man reportedly died a few days after the procedure.

Last month, the radiologist was reprimanded by the state's Medical Examining Board in connection to this alleged incident.

A wrongful death lawsuit has now been brought against the radiologist in a court in Connecticut by the deceased man's wife in connection to the alleged negligence. A radiology practice and the above-mentioned hospital have also been named as defendants in this lawsuit. The article on the Connecticut Post's website which reported this story did not mention what specific relief the man's wife is seeking in this lawsuit.

As the allegations in this wrongful death case demonstrate, radiological procedure-related negligence can be extremely harmful. No patient should have to be subjected to such negligence. Thus, one hopes that all medical professionals who provide care in relation to radiological procedures make sure to not commit negligence like that alleged in this case.
