Lawsuit brought against immediate care center in Connecticut

It is very important for medical professionals and medical facilities to act properly when it comes to the examining, testing and diagnosing of patients. When medical professionals or medical facilities fail to do this and act negligently in regards to these things, it can result in patients suffering great harm. Sadly, diagnosis-related negligence can sometimes even result in a patient's death.

Recently, a medical malpractice case has arisen in Connecticut involving an alleged failure to diagnose. The case involves a man who reportedly received care from an immediate care center in Connecticut on February 11, 2010.

The man's wife alleges that the immediate care center negligently failed to conduct proper diagnostic tests on the man. The man's wife claims that this alleged negligence resulted in the care center failing to diagnose pulmonary embolisms the man had.

According to the man's wife, this alleged failure to diagnose resulted in the man's death, which reportedly occurred on February 20, 2010.

A medical malpractice lawsuit has been brought by the man's wife in a court in Stamford, Connecticut against the immediate care center in connection to these allegations. The man's wife reportedly is asking for damages in this lawsuit. It will be interesting to see what happens in this case and how it is ultimately resolved.

As the allegations in this medical malpractice case illustrate, diagnosis-related negligence can be very harmful. Thus, one hopes that medical professionals and medical facilities make sure to not commit this type of negligence when providing care to patients.
