Lawsuit alleges that medical negligence caused woman to get hurt during rehab

It is very important for hospitals and medical professionals to not act negligently towards patients. Negligence by medical professionals and hospitals can be very harmful to patients. No patient should have to be subjected to medical negligence.

Recently, a case involving allegations of medical negligence has arisen in Illinois. The case involves a woman who reportedly was discharged from a hospital in Illinois to the hospital's rehabilitation center in 2008.

The woman's daughter claims that negligence occurred in regards to the transfer of the discharge orders for the woman. Specifically, the woman's daughter alleges that the instructions in these orders were not properly transferred to the rehabilitation center and were not included in the therapy orders regarding the woman.

According to the woman's daughter, this alleged negligence resulted in the woman's right leg getting broken during rehab. The woman's daughter claims that this injury, in turn, resulted in the woman having to stay in a nursing home.

The above-mentioned woman is now deceased. The woman's daughter reportedly is the executor of the woman's estate. Reportedly, the woman's daughter has brought a lawsuit in a court in Illinois against two doctors and the above-mentioned hospital in connection to the above allegations of medical negligence. In this lawsuit, the woman's daughter is reportedly seeking damages.

As the allegations in this case illustrate, medical negligence can cause patients to suffer a great deal of harm. Thus, one hopes that all medical professionals and hospitals make sure to not act negligently in regards to the care of patients.
