Doctor sued in connection to surgery

It is very important for medical professionals to act properly when performing a surgical procedure on a patient. When a medical professional acts negligently in connection to a surgical procedure, it can result in a patient suffering harms. Such harms can have significant impacts on a patient's life. No patient should have to suffer harm because a medical professional acted negligently when performing a surgery.

Recently, a medical negligence case has arisen in Illinois involving a surgery. The case involves a man who reportedly underwent a surgical procedure in November of 2009. The surgery reportedly was for a broken left arm the man had suffered.

The man claims that the doctor who performed this surgery committed negligence in connection to the procedure. The man further alleges that the doctor caused him to suffer a variety of harms including:

  • Disability
  • Disfigurement
  • Mental anguish
  • Pain
  • Permanent injury

The man and his wife have brought a medical negligence lawsuit in a court in Illinois against the above-mentioned doctor in connection to these allegations. In their lawsuit, the man and his wife reportedly are asking for damages. One wonders what will happen in this case and how it will ultimately be resolved.

As the allegations in this case underscore, surgery-related negligence can cause great harm to patients. Thus, one hopes that medical professionals are held accountable when they act negligently in connection to a surgical procedure. One also hopes that all medical professionals make sure to act properly when providing patients with surgical care.
