Woman brings lawsuit against dentist

When dentists provide patients with care, it is very important that they don't act negligently in connection to this care. When dentists fail to act properly when providing patients with care, it can result in patients suffering harms. Such harms can have significant impacts on an individual's life.

Recently, a case involving allegations of dentist negligence has arisen in West Virginia. The case involves a woman who reportedly received care from a West Virginia dentist. The woman claims that the dentist committed a variety of negligent actions in connection to the woman's care, including failing to properly install a crown.

According to the woman, the dentist's alleged negligence caused her to experience a variety of harms including:

  • Pain
  • Suffering
  • Infections

It has been reported that the woman has brought a lawsuit in a court in West Virginia against the dentist in connection to these allegations. In her lawsuit, the woman reportedly is asking for compensatory and punitive damages. It will be interesting to see what happens in this case and how it is ultimately resolved.

As the allegations in this case underscore, patients can suffer great harm when dentists provide them with negligent care. No patient should have to suffer harm because a medical professional acted negligently. Thus, one hopes that dentists make sure to act properly when providing care to patients. One also hopes that dentists are held accountable when they commit negligence in connection to the care of a patient and such negligence causes a patient to suffer harm.
