Doctor sued in connection to death of emergency room patient

Emergency room patients sometimes suffer from injuries or conditions that could cause a great deal of harm if they are not treated in a prompt and correct fashion. Because of this, negligent conduct by emergency room doctors can have major negative repercussions for patients.

Recently, a doctor has been accused of committing negligent conduct that resulted in an emergency room patient's death. The case involves a man who reportedly went to the emergency room of a Texas hospital in March of 2009 to receive medical care. At the emergency room, the man reportedly was seen and treated by a doctor.

A representative of the man's estate claims that the man received substandard and negligent care from the hospital and the doctor during his emergency room stay. The representative alleges that this negligence caused the man's death, which allegedly occurred less than a day after the man was admitted to the hospital.

The representative has now brought a wrongful death lawsuit in Texas against the doctor and the hospital in connection to these allegations. It will be interesting to see what the ultimate result of this case is.

The allegations in this case demonstrate how medical negligence can have serious and even fatal consequences for emergency room patients.

Thus, it is extremely important for emergency room doctors to provide their patients with nothing but quality care. It is also important for hospitals to take all reasonable measures to ensure that patients of their emergency rooms receive proper care and that their emergency room doctors don't engage in negligent conduct. If hospitals and doctors fail to do these things, they could be exposing their patients to great harm.
